Join us for a day of adventure and faith-building activities! This event is designed for Dads and Granddads to bond with their children aged 6-12 for a thrilling morning of 1790s survival skills activities on the beautiful grounds of Stillwaters Presbyterian Church. Embrace the opportunity to step back in time and engage in hands-on learning experiences that will not only teach valuable survival skills but also create lasting memories. Participants will have the chance to work together, learn together, and grow closer in faith through a series of fun and educational activities inspired by frontier life. This event promises to be a unique and enriching experience for both generations, blending the excitement of the great outdoors with the foundational values of faith and family

You will also experience exciting demonstrations in muzzleloading, where you’ll learn about the history and techniques of using a flintlock rifle, and witness the skill and precision involved in tomahawk throwing, as experts showcase this traditional frontier activity. Let your child see the importance of strength and teamwork in the log sawing competition. After the morning’s activities, enjoy a delicious fried chicken lunch, a perfect opportunity to relax and refuel while enjoying the company of other families. Throughout the day, you’ll have the chance to bond with your child, not just through the engaging survival skills activities, but also by uncovering meaningful spiritual lessons. These lessons are designed to deepen your connection with each other and with your faith, making this event a truly holistic experience that nourishes both body and soul.
