BIG BAY ADVENTURE - June 18th


Stillwaters Men's Ministry is Hosting the BIG BAY ADVENTURE on Saturday, June 18th for Dads and Grandads to spend an unforgettable day with their child or grandchild, ages 6-12, by going on the Freshwater Fishing Adventure together.


It is our goal as a Men's Ministry to come alongside of you Dads and give you opportunities, resources and tips on how to invest in your child or grandchild through faith-based mentoring. 


Saturday Morning, the Father/Child teams rotate with several other F/C pairings through different Mentor Stations on the Stillwaters Property.



Mentor Station Themes:

  Fishing Knots

  Species of Fish found in the Chesapeake Bay

  Boat Safety

   Fishing tackle - match with fish you are targeting

  How to cast and Hula Hoop casting game


Right before lunch the children will be involved in a short game time while dads and grandads are given tips on how to be more intentional in faith-based mentoring. This will be followed by lunch, which will be provided for all of those attending.


After lunch we will travel to the Chesapeake Bay for an afternoon of boat rides on the Chesapeake and a fishing competition for the children who are attending the Adventure. 


The cost of $25 per Father/Child team includes a whole day of an unforgettable Adventure together, mentoring resource for the Dad, an Activity Book and Fishing trading Cards, fishing patch for each child, lunch and a boat ride at the Bay. 


Prizes for the biggest fish and the most fish will be given to the children who win the fishing competition in their age bracket. An cost of $10 for an additional child to cover the costs of the Activity Book, Trading Cards, patch and lunch. 


You will be able to register online on our church's website for this Adventure. We will need to know in advance who all is attending as we need to purchase resources and food ahead of time.

We have been intentional in scheduling this ADVENTURE the day before Father's Day. Mom's, a memorable and awesome Father's Day gift to your husband and child will be registering your husband and child for this event.
