Pennsylvania law has changed recently and all volunteers working with children ages 0-17 require clearances. This page provides links (as of August 28, 2015) to where volunteers can go for those clearances. For further questions, please email Pattie Parker
All clearances must then be printed and given to someone on the pastoral or administrative staff at Stillwaters; this completes the process. They are kept on file in a secure location and are good for three years.
- You will first need to create an individual account if you don't already have a Compass account. After that, log back in to submit a clearance request. As you navigate the system, you will eventually be sent to a different, but related site, to request the actual clearance.
- Select the yellow "New Record Check" button for volunteers and go from there.
Fingerprinting for FBI Background check
- Fingerprinting is not required if you have lived in Pennsylvania for the last ten years and meet the requirements of this form. This disclosure needs to be downloaded, printed, signed, and co-signed by a witness and given to Stillwaters' pastoral staff.
- If this does not apply to you, click on the website listed below. Use the code 1KG6ZJ to register, which is "DHS Volunteer".
