Discovering Christianity

When is it?

Thursdays, 6-8pm, beginning on February 18th, concluding on March 24th.

What is it?

You are invited to be our guest for dinner to discuss the central claims of the Christian faith.

Jesus came eating and drinking, enjoying the company of the religious and irreligious alike in a gracious manner. Regardless of how you view yourself - religious, irreligious, or skeptic - you are welcome. And you will find a gracious environment to learn and consider the Christian faith.

Who is this for?

Anyone who wants to learn about the Christian faith. Truly, anyone - Christians, non-Christians, doubters, questioners, religious, or the irreligious.

What happens each evening?

Each week we'll have dinner at 6pm, followed by talk that evening. Each week we'll look at a central question of the Christian faith: what's the story of the bible, what is wrong with the world, who is Jesus, who is the Holy Spirit, what is the church, and do faith and doubts go together? All viewpoints are welcome. Following each talk, there will be a small group discussion that later opens up to the whole group.

How long does it last?

2 hours, with a hard stop at 8pm. If you want to stick around and talk some more, you're welcome to do so.

How much does it cost?

Nothing. It is free, and our gift to you.

How long does it last?

6 weeks

Why is Stillwaters doing this?

Christians count it a real privilege to explain the truth, beauty and goodness of the Christian faith. We do not have all the answers, but we do believe that we have exciting, life-changing news to share about the person of Jesus Christ. Stillwaters is a church-family that wants to be a place that is a place of healing and peace, where anyone can come and learn about Christianity and the bible in a loving setting.

Do I need to bring anything?

Nope, we will supply everything you need for your time here.

What about my children?

Babysitting can be arranged for young infants up to the age of middle schoolers. If you would like to take us up on this offer, please email Pastor Robbie and let him know.

What if this is not for me? Can I back out if I want to?

Yes! By all means; this is simply an opportunity, not an obligation.
